Donations and money
Where the money goes
Donor, to your organization’s Stripe account, to your bank. Fundly never holds a dollar and never takes a percentage.
A donation goes from the donor’s card to your organization’s own Stripe account, and from there to your organization’s own bank account. That is the whole path.
- We never hold it. There is no Fundly balance and no payout schedule of ours to wait on.
- We never take a percentage. Not of a donation, not of a fee, not of a covered fee. Fundly is invoiced separately and flatly, and it has nothing to do with what your kids raise.
- We never see your bank details. Your foundation enters those with Stripe directly. They are not in this product and never pass through it.
When it actually lands
On Stripe’s schedule for your organization’s account, which is usually every couple of days once an account is established. Your foundation controls that in their own Stripe dashboard. There is no end of campaign lump sum and no waiting on a check from a vendor.
A donation shows on your dashboard when the charge succeeds, which is well before the money reaches the bank. That is normal. See Refunds and pending donations.
Whose account it is
Your program’s own Stripe account if it has one, otherwise your organization’s. Booster clubs that are separate nonprofits usually have their own, so the money lands in their own bank without a transfer in between.

Processing fees, and the cover toggle
Stripe takes a card fee. Donors are offered the chance to cover it, and most do. Not one cent of it is ours.
