Set your fundraising dates

Your season, not somebody else’s. Soccer is fall, swim is winter, track is spring, and the dates live on your own dashboard.

On your dashboard, under Your dates, there are two boxes: Opens on and Closes on. Set either, both, or neither, then press Save these dates.

How the dates are read

  • Both days count. A window closing 15 October still takes a gift at 11:59pm that night. The person most likely to give late is the one you least want to lose.
  • An empty box means no bound. No opening date starts you immediately. No closing date runs until you close it by hand.
  • Days are counted in your organization’s time zone, not the server’s. A gift at 6:30pm on 30 September belongs to September.

If you set a closing date before the opening date, the page tells you, and it will not let you save a window that could never take a donation.

Your dates can narrow, never widen

Your organization has a season of its own. Your dates work inside it. You can run a two week push in the middle of your district’s season, but you cannot open in July if your district is shut in July.

When the district is what is holding you closed, the tile says so plainly rather than pretending your dates are the problem. Set your dates anyway and they take effect the moment the district opens.
