When something is wrong
A link or QR code does not work
There are only a few reasons this happens, and they are quick to tell apart.
The page says not found
- The athlete was deleted. Deleting kills the code, and pasting the same name back gives them a new one. The old card is dead paper. See Remove a player.
- Your organization is not live yet. Public pages do not render until it is switched on. Everyone’s links will be down, not just one.
- The code was typed wrong. Codes never contain a zero, a one, an O, an I, or a lowercase L, so if somebody read one of those off a card, it is the other character.
The page loads but says donations are closed
The link is fine. Your window is shut, or your district’s is. See Nothing is coming in.
The QR code will not scan
- Too small for the distance. An inch and a half works in the hand, a banner needs four inches or more.
- Printed too light, or on a dark color. It needs to be dark on white.
- Stretched out of square by whoever laid out the sign.
- No clear margin around it, with text crowding the edge.
The printed link under the name always works even when a code will not scan. That is why it is on the card. See How QR codes work.
The wrong athlete came up
The link was for that athlete. Check which row you copied from, and check for two kids with the same first name and last initial on your roster. See How athlete names work.

Nothing is coming in
Work down this list in order. The answer is almost always the sentence at the top of your own dashboard.
How QR codes work
Every athlete has one and so does the team. Point a phone camera at it, no app needed.
Remove a player
Select the rows and confirm. Anyone with donations is kept and hidden instead of deleted, so the money never moves.
